ride more & Clean Less

WARRANTY POLICY

FunnelWeb Filter is proud to stand behind our products, but there are some things you MUST KNOW prior to contacting us for any alleged failure:

Cleaning

  • Never clean with any type of fuel (gasoline, diesel, or other aggressive solvents) as this will kill the foam and glue between any layering.

  • Do NOT use No Toil products on FunnelWeb Filters, as it is not compatible with our glue.

  • Never leave the filters in the sun to dry as UV will eventually destroy the foam (gets hard and cracks).

  • Let filters dry completely before oiling.

Oiling

  • You MUST apply Air Filter Oil to all air filters, including ours! FWF is NOT RESPONSIBLE for engine damage caused by an un-oiled filter!

  • Since FunnelWeb filters have more surface area, the require more oil than an OEM filter. Be sure to adequately and completely oil your FWF filter, making sure the oil is evenly spread to every corner and the entire sealing surface. FWF is NOT RESPONSIBLE for engine damage caused by an under-oiled filter!

  • Do NOT use No Toil products on FunnelWeb Filters, as it is not compatible with our glue.

  • Don’t oil filters that are not completely dry because it can cause hydrolysis which can break down the foam.

  • Make sure you use air filter oil suited to the terrain you are going to ride in. BIO OILS can break down in wet conditions! Learn more about filter oils HERE.

  • After oiling your filter, let it hang in a well-ventilated place for 30 minutes to allow the carrier agent to evaporate; DO NOT oil your filter, install it, and then immediately try to start your bike!

Other Considerations

  • Air filters are consumable wear items, and no filter lasts forever. After each cleaning, carefully check for tears, rips, seams broken or holes.

  • The MAXIMUM service life for a FunnelWeb Filter is 2 years.
